PAS alleges some parties are always taking steps to bring them down – My NEWS ONLINE

BHARU CITY – The agenda and movements of parties trying to overthrow the PAS are widespread in politics, especially in the run-up to the 15th general election (GE-15).

PAS Vice-President Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah said that therefore all parties, especially the people, are reminded to be careful in advance of any information or issue raised by the opposition in order to know its validity.

He said he considered moves to fight or overthrow the government as normal in politics, considering Malaysia is a democratic country.

“Every time there is a general election there will be a new movement with different names and that is normal, not just in Kelantan but across the country,” he said at a news conference after the start of National Month and the election of the state flag Kelantan 2022 by Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob at Dataran Warisan, Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium Grounds, here today.

Mohd Amar said that in relation to Kelantan, most of the issues raised are old issues that are repeated, in fact almost all issues are from the state government either in speeches or in the State Legislative Assembly (DUN).

“Maybe some people who didn’t follow the statement from the leadership and also the DUN conference thought that this was new.

“But if it’s referenced, it’s actually answered. For example, regarding the water issue, where I made many statements and answers at the DUN conference, and also explained the government’s efforts, planning and approach to solve the water issue,” he said.

Mohd Amar said his side accepts any criticism but it should be based on clear information and not just current sentiment.

“So I hope that the public, especially the younger generation, will become more mature and wiser when it comes to criticizing the government.

“Freedom of expression is a fundamental principle of democratic practice in this country, but when allegations contradict clear information, it can create confusion in society,” he said.

Regarding other developments, he said, so far PAS has not found any definitive candidates to compete in GE-15.
