Lamet’s eventful week continues, Rockies picks him up

DENVER (AP) — The Colorado Rockies have called Dinelson Lamet from waivers capped per week, with the right-hander traded by one group and designated for the task by another.

Lamet was part of the package the Milwaukee Brewers made Monday in the deal that sent four-time All-Star player Josh Hader to the San Diego Padres. The Brewers revealed two days later that they had nominated Lamet for the job.

The Rockies announced Friday that they had claimed Lamet and designated right-hander Ashton Goudeau for the task.

Lamet went 0-1 in 13 assists for the Padres this season with a 9.49 ERA.
