INDONESIATODAY.CO.ID, JAKARTA — A National Land Agency (BPN) officer has been arrested by Metro Jaya Police on suspicion of involvement in land mafia practices.
The officer, initialed PS, is believed to be an intellectual player in the land mafia case in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.
Polda Metro Public Relations Director Jaya Kombes Endra Zulpan said PS carried out the criminal act together with a person who funded the issuance of land certificates without the proper documents.

“This PS is a BPN official who acts as an intellectual actor and works with funders. He issues certificates with forged documents and without going through the proper procedures,” Zulpan said in his statement on Wednesday (13/7).
The PS suspect allegedly issued a number of problematic certificates without proper procedures.
“It is suspected that there are many other land objects with problematic certificates issued by these BPN officials. We have currently processed six reports,” said the senior police officer.

PS is the head of PTSL (Complete Systematic Land Registration) approval at one of the BPN offices in South Jakarta.
In addition, PS acts as the Substance of Land Arrangement Coordinator at the North Jakarta Administrative City BPN.
