She told the outlet Thursday the daycare was “a place she trusted to take care of her son” when she first enrolled him in the church’s program in December 2021. Months later, however, things changed drastically. She also noted that something was wrong with her toddler after his grandmother brought him home. she said persons The boy was “hysterical” and “unable to speak” and displayed many physical signs of abuse:

Immediately, the mother wanted answers about what happened to her son. She contacted the church – who allegedly only admitted to her that there had been “tensions” between the workers and the child. However, when she demanded to watch CCTV videos for herself, the truth came out.

In the video, the workers appear to be abusing the young child – and no doubt the police agree. The shocked mother said:

“The footage was inhuman. [He was] slammed on the floor, pulled her hair, slapped her in the face, and threw her out the door.”

Krystin went on to say that this must be why her little boy hadn’t “adjusted” well to daycare in the “six months” he had attended:

“It was incredible. We wondered why he still wasn’t adjusting to kindergarten after six months.”

Absolutely heartbreaking…

Jackie Pattersona lawyer representing the mother and her son made it clear that they claim this is not a “one off thing”:

“With the tape that we saw, it had to be a pattern. This type of abuse must be more than a one-off, and the child’s behavior had been changing for some time before the abuse was discovered.”

Arrest warrants have been issued for the two women who allegedly molested the infant, and both have been arrested and charged with first-degree cruelty to children, according to police files. Both women were released from prison on Wednesday and it is unclear if either of them have pleaded guilty.

Clarkston First Baptist Church has remained silent after the incident and has refused to speak to anyone who has come forward. They have reportedly continued to deny that anything went wrong with Collier’s son and her employees, but this has not been confirmed by an official public statement. The case is still under investigation.

The thought that they would try to tell the mother that all they saw was ‘suspense’ – when the footage clearly showed the child being picked up and spanked?! This is a BIG gaslight for the poor parent…

In conversation with CBS46 Atlantathe distraught mother says she worries she and her son may never feel safe again:

“It’s a church. This is a church! And I trusted the Church.”

Very very sad. Our hearts go out to Krystin and her son. We hope they get the justice they deserve.
