Ferris Bueller’s Day Off star Edie McClurg’s family have expressed their fears she has been a victim of elder abuse.

The 76-year-old currently lives in LA and has dementia. Her loved ones filed court documents alleging she had been molested by a man who allegedly claimed to be a “longtime” friend.

According to documents obtained by the , Michael L. Ramos moved into their home in 2017.

He’s reportedly unemployed, hasn’t paid rent or expenses, and is said to have “wormed his way” into the life and home of the actress – who starred in the cult classic as secretary Grace.

Ramos reportedly tried to get McClurg out of California to marry her, even though he knew she “lacked the ability.”

The conservatory judge allowed Ramos to live with McClurg as “companionship” but reportedly ruled that he “was not allowed to enter into a valid marriage with her.”

It has been alleged that the court order’s counsel requested that it be removed entirely.

Angelique Cabral filed a filing on behalf of the actress with the California Supreme Court on Monday, it said.

“Mr. Ramos claims to be the conservator’s ‘longtime friend’ and was able to insinuate himself into the conservator’s life while she was battling dementia,” Cabral explained in the documents.

“He later attempted to remove the conservator from the state of CA to marry her when he knew she was incompetent.”

She insisted the couple “were never romantically involved,” but accused Ramos of sexually assaulting McClurg’s caregiver at her home “on more than one occasion” – with a police report filed of an alleged incident.

Cabral demanded that he “move out immediately” and not come back.

“The court permitted Mr. Ramos to remain at the preserve’s residence because it believed he would keep her company, and the preserve had no objection at the time,” the filing said.

“Mr Ramos and the conservator have never been involved in a romantic relationship (they have separate living quarters) and caretakers are in the house 24 hours a day.”
