Tottenham Hotspur could hold talks with AS Roma director Tiago Pinto over Nicolo Zaniolo, according to Alfredo Pedullà.
The well-known and respected journalist has claimed that Roma director Pinto made a trip to London.
Talks could take place with Tottenham over Zaniolo, according to the report, which added that AS Roma are ready to sell the 23-year-old Italy international for €45-50m (£37.85-42.17m).
Could Tottenham Hotspur sign Nicolo Zaniolo from AS Roma?
If Tottenham Hotspur pay what AS Roma want, we think they could sign Nicolo Zaniolo in the summer transfer window.
Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has a personal wish for the Italy attacking midfielder, who was described by former AS Roma player Zbigniew Boniek on New Sound radio in July as a footballer with “incredible potential”.
And if Roma are willing to sell him for a price then Tottenham should pay him or at least consider paying him so Conte can start working with him straight away.
Zaniolo made 23 starts and five substitutes in Serie A last season.
The Italy international scored two goals and provided two assists in those games.
Tottenham would be a better and more potent team with Zaniolo.
